With the application for the LIS funding program “Open Access Publication Costs”, the Hertie School gGmbH intends to actively shape the Open Access transformation. The Hertie School supports her researchers in Open Access publishing and participates in various transformation contracts. The aim of the application is, on the one hand, to financially cushion the rapidly growing Open Access costs. On the other hand, the Hertie School intends to create sustainable structures that support the Open Access transformation on the administrative side. Publication guidelines, submission, and accounting workflows as well as and efficient Open Access controlling are planned. For this purpose, the function of an Open Access Officer will be assigned to library management.
