Project Details
Single Crystal X-ray Diffractometer
Subject Area
Molecular Chemistry
Term
Funded in 2021
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 468317520
Due to severely outdated equipment, a new and powerful single crystal X-ray diffractometer should be purchased in the Faculty of Chemistry and Biosciences at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). The instrument will essentially measure samples in a high throughput as a routine instrument, i.e. we are not interested in further instrument development. In a few cases, the measurement of crystals with long cell axes must be possible without problems. The instrument should run reliably to handle the high sample volume. The follow-up costs should be as low as possible. For this reason, an instrument with a microfocus X-ray tube (MoKα) and a state-of-the-art pixel detector is desired.
