In Project B03, the real-world context is explored empirically (i.e., the context in which human–machine interactions are already present) in order to answer the key question regarding what the user’s needs are when it comes to explainable AI. This also relates to social differences like gender or education. The results are essential for reflecting the elements that influence and structure social practices in a theory of co-constructing explanations.
