Magnetized and isospin-asymmetric QCD matter aims at an ab-initio lattice determination of the phase diagram and thermodynamic properties of QCD in the parameter space of nonzero temperatures, isospin densities, (localized) magnetic fields, small baryon densities, and smaller-than-physical quark masses. In particular, we will determine the equation of state, magnetic and quark number susceptibilities, and the chiral magnetic conductivity, as well as analyze the impact of spatially localized magnetic fields on thermodynamics. Furthermore, the signatures of the predicted superconducting BCS phase at large isospin density will be investigated and the long-standing question on the order of the thermal transition in the chiral limit will be revisited from a new point of view.
