Project Details
Ultrafast Dynamics of Interface Currents (B11*)
Subject Area
Experimental Condensed Matter Physics
Term
since 2021
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 223848855
Lateral interface electrical currents are investigated by directly monitoring the corresponding momentum imbalance of the electron distribution by time- and angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy. The method is applied to device-relevant systems, such as topologically protected interface electronic states, graphene and graphene-related materials and two dimensional semiconductors. The goal is to resolve elementary momentum scattering processes at the interface and to reveal their influence on current transport.
