Project Details
Dynamics of Charge-Transfer Excitons at Organic/Organic and Hybrid Organic/Inorganic Heterointerfaces (B10*)
Subject Area
Experimental Condensed Matter Physics
Term
since 2021
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 223848855
This project addresses the dynamics of charge-transfer excitons at heterointerfaces, which will be probed by means of time and spatially resolved photoluminescence spectroscopy. In particular, we will focus on well-defined model systems on metal substrates and heterojunctions of organic semiconductors with transition metal dichalcogenides. The correlation of optical characterisation with information about the underlying microstructure will shed light into several aspects of charge transfer states, in particular their binding energy, the influence of interfacial microstructure and their mobility along the heterointerface.
