The aim of the transfer project is the industrial application and further development of the method for change impact analysis (CIA) for production, which was developed within the SFB 768. This includes the transfer, implementation and evaluation of previous research results from the SFB 768. The method for CIA represents a simulation-based approach to quantify the effects and propagation of changes within production systems. The research project is carried out in close cooperation with J.M. Voith SE & Co. KG. One focus of the intended further development is the identification and implementation of possible applications of Data Analytics. For this purpose, promising use cases are to be identified, implemented and evaluated in cooperation with the application partner. Positively evaluated approaches will then be integrated into the procedure for CIA. The economic efficiency and validity of the developed approaches will be evaluated on the basis of two empirical studies, which will be conducted before and after the introduction of the new methods. The results of the empirical studies, the advanced methods for CIA as well as the procedure for the introduction into industrial practice will be published in the form of guidelines and made available to the general public.
