High Performance Computer

The projects aim is to increase the performance of an existing central high-performance computer (HILBERT) by replacing CPU-based components. Obsolete components are replaced by new computer nodes in an energy-neutral way.The device fosters research in alogrithmic bioinformatics, genome research, medical biometrics and bioinformatics, molecular evolution and theoretical computational chemistry.
