Project Description

The objective is to assess the impact of the various transport policy and planning instruments in the area of tension between pull & push measures and to identify the most effective combinations. Furthermore the aim is to contribute to the development of passive adaptation planning, which still dominates the transport policy field today, into proactive integrated transport planning. The possibility of targeted application of intelligent combinations of pull & push measures is the central prerequisite for goal-oriented integrated transport planning. Therefore, in this context also those restrictions have to be analyzed, which stand in the way of the implementation of integrated transport planning and the application of pull & push measures.
