Multi-Purpose Space Mission Simulator (B02)

Subject Area Geodesy, Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing, Geoinformatics, Cartography
Term since 2021
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 434617780

Project Description

This project aims at providing a test bed for all space-related activities in TerraQ. The focus lies on the development of detailed system models for GRACE and GRACE-FO to enable the resolution of internal couplings and their influence on the gravity field solution, plus the disturbance identification and mitigation for GRACE-FO. Also, we will generate mission-specific mock data sets with unprecedented depth and precision for optimising existing gravimetric measurement concepts and identifying and evaluating new concepts proposed in TerraQ. The goal is a complete representation of the satellite system, sensors and all perturbative effects for all scenarios requested by the community.
