Project Description

The efficient synthesis of complex molecules containing multiple stereocenters still represents a major challenge in organic chemistry. In the course of this project we establish 2-oxyenamides and the corresponding 2-oxyencarbamates as novel tools for the stereoselective synthesis of structurally complex molecules. Our goals are modular processes for a controlled construction of as many stereoisomers as possible of a given molecule starting from a simple set of common building blocks. Finally we want to demonstrate the applicability of our methods in the synthesis of selected targets.
