Access to molecular oxygen is essential for cell function and behaviour. Tools to measure this central parameter, in particular in vivo, are limited. We have generated a hypoxia reporter mouse, which we will characterize and use to understand the action of immune cells in acute and chronic hypoxia. We have developed dedicated deep learning pipelines that will be extended and accompanied by complementary annotation and supervision tools, to analyse hypoxia across scales. The combination of these approaches will provide unprecedented insights into the dynamics and consequences of hypoxia and its connection to inflammation.
