High performance computer with tracking system

It is planned to equip the research group robotics and artificial intelligence with a high-performance computer which is capable to support complex perception systems with methodologies of machine learning. An optical tracking system is planned to act as reference system which builds in combination with the high-performance computer a laboratory environment for complex sensor systems. The goal of the laboratory is to detect and analyze complex situations and actions of humans for building automation by using modern sensor systems such as radar sensors, inertial sensors and infrared cameras. The application fields of such sensor systems in commercial and private buildings include beyond others also security systems and energy management concepts.
