Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 447456398
The overarching goal of the project is to establish a Radiofrequency (RF)-triggered small molecule release system based on a mechanicalagitation of polymer shells of RF-sensitive Fe3O4 NPs. Within the scope of this research project, this aim will be pursued by followingthree major objectives: Objective 1: Formation of iron oxidecore/ polymer-shell NPs of different size and polymer immobilization strategy as nanocarriers for different drugs/molecules. Objective 2: Understanding the mechanical response and stability of the polymer coating in response to RF. Objective 3: Investigation of the drug/molecule loading capacity and rate of drug/molecule release from the variety of prepared nanocarriers under applied RF.
