Hybrid model for the boundary surface between a packed bed and the downstream free flowing gas (di Mare) addresses the problem of a consistent transition between the dense bed to the particle free gas stream outside the granular assembly. For FP2, representation of the interface will be generalised to include the movement of the particles and hence arbitrary changes of porosity and permeability. The numerical studies will be validated by comparing with experimental results from the new reference configuration of a project. A hierarchical modelling approach will be developed to leverage on the tabular contact detection developed and Physics-Informed Neural Networks will be employed to derive a further generalization of the drag model. The approach devised will be implemented in the BULK-REACTION framework.
