Digitazation and Cataloguing of the German prints of the 18.th century - Württembergische Landesbibliothek

The Wuerttemberg State Library (WLB) captures approximately 4,800 titles assigned from the Göttingen coordination database, including numerous prints available only in Stuttgart. The indexing is carried out at the national bibliographic level according to the guidelines of VD18. During editorial processing, possible duplicates are identified and replaced by other titles for digitization in order to achieve the total number of digitized titles applied for. All titles will be digitized according to the DFG standard and made available with structural data. In addition, the WLB contributes to the success of the cooperative overall of the project VD18 by cataloguing further 2,400 titles that have already been digitized at the Bavarian State Library in Munich via Google and are also available in the WLB Stuttgart collection.
