Term
from 2020 to 2022
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 444887306
The aims of this research are• To identify the genes mediating Plasmopara viticola resistance in the loci Rpv12 and Rpv10 and understand their transcript structure and function• To deduce gene-linked molecular markers for efficient Marker-assisted selection in grapevine breeding• To investigate the host-pathogen interaction on histochemical level in resistant grapevine carriers of Rpv12 and Rpv10 (Production of reactive oxygen species at the infection site, Hypersensitive reaction)• To contribute to our understanding of the resistance mechanisms behind Rpv12 and Rpv10 at the level of molecular physiology in the host-pathogen interaction and gene regulation
