The project aims to explore 2D CPs for achieving high charge carrier mobilities, narrow band gaps, prolonged charge lifetimes, and strong magnetic couplings between the monomers. The project will develop various thiophene-based donor-donor/acceptor-type 2D poly(arylene vinylene)s (2D PAVs) and phthalocyanine-based poly(benzimidazobenzophenanthroline) 2D CPs (2D BBLs). The aim is to exfoliate layered 2D conjugated polymers (CPs) into solution-processable nanosheets, and integrate them into prototype devices for achieving structure-property relationship and high charge mobilities in organic transistors.
