Project Details
Fundamentals of nanoparticle chromatography (B04)
Subject Area
Mechanical Process Engineering
Term
since 2020
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 416229255
The objective of B04 is the chromatographic classification of nanoparticles via their size, shape and surface properties. A central focus will be on the interactions between particles, mobile phase and surfacefunctionalised stationary phase material. Surface property-performance relations will be systematically established by screening surface-modified stationary phase materials developed in CRC 1411. The elution behaviour of the particles will be measured and modelled for the derivation of scale-up rules. Finally, the chromatographic classification will be coupled directly to continuous particle production.
