The NMR facility at the Institute of Organic Chemistry at the University of Münster processes numerous NMR samples daily and provides essential support in designing experiments and answering spectroscopic questions. The 300 MHz NMR spectrometer procured in 2006, and which will be renewed as 400 MHz NMR in 2020, is optimized for automated operation and is used for the daily measurement of 1D NMR spectra. The requested console consists of an automatically tuneable 1H{X,19F} sample head and an autosampler capable of processing 60 samples. This is ideally suited to analyze the >100 samples that are received each day. The constellation is designed to ensure high throughput with high spectra quality at the same time. Typical applications are product control in synthesis, substance identification in the course of chromatographic separations and the provision of 1D NMR data for publications. In addition to the research groups at the Institute of Organic Chemistry, the spectrometer supports other researchers within the university as part of co-ordinated research initiatives.
