The aim of this new project is to synthesize the findings of all phase I- and II-projects towards developing a multidisciplinary theory of organized creativity. Drawing on large amounts of qualitative data (mainly interviews and ethnographies) from two empirical fields (music and pharma), the research unit focuses on four practice areas – collaboration, temporality, evaluation, and regulation –, which organize selected themes that are important for creativity to be fostered (governance, co-presence, secrecy, regulation; planned: brokerage/intermediation, temporal structuring, communities/crowds, careers, and alternative regulation). As outlined in the original main proposal and specified in the renewal proposal, research in these two fields is focused on the question of how the creative process is organized at levels beyond the individual and the group with regard to reducing but also inducing uncertainty.
