Term
from 2019 to 2022
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 428420202
The goal of this research project to get a better knowledge on the transfer of inner forces over cracks in reinforced concrete beams under shear and torsion. First 14 reinforced concrete single beams with different dimensions, concrete compressive strengths and maximum aggregate diameters will be tested under shear and torsion loads. The crack kinematics will be determined by photogrammetry. This method is necessary to determine the crack friction using known models. The experimental and analytical investigations are supported by material non-linear finite element calculations with the software packages Abaqus and ATENA.
