Project Details
Method development for the joinability prognosis (A01)
Subject Area
Joining and Separation Technology
Term
since 2019
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 418701707
In the project, research is being carried out into the development of methods for the holistic prediction of joinability along the overall life cycle of a joint, from the material properties of the parts to be joined, via the joining processes, to the set property profile. For this purpose, a combined experimental and numerical investigation of the mechanical joining process chain is being carried out in order to develop the fundamental principles of interaction. In the second funding period, the range of investigations will be expanded to include fibre-reinforced plastic composites, high-strength steel materials, cast aluminium materials, cyclic loads and semi-tubular self-piercing riveting.
