Project Details
Modular assembly of the autophagy machinery in mitophagy and immunity (B10)
Subject Area
Biochemistry
Term
since 2019
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 403222702
Autophagy is a cellular transport pathway in which cytoplasmic components are targeted for degradation. Defects in autophagy have been associated with several human diseases, including autoimmunity. We aim to investigate the role of the autophagy machineries Atg1 and LRBA and their subcomplexes in the autophagic degradation of mitochondria and analyse the role of LRBA in the crosstalk of mitophagy and immunity.
