Local and non-local magneto-thermogalvanic transport (C08*)

Subject Area Theoretical Condensed Matter Physics
Term from 2019 to 2022
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 247310070

Project Description

This project addresses the interplay of topological properties and transport in magnetic Weyl semimetal thin films. A key focus is to establish 'smoking gun' signatures of Weyl physics in thin film transport experiments. To this end, both the local and the non-local transport response connected with topological (chiral) length scales shall be studied in nano-patterned devices. We furthermore intend to explore the relevance of surface states and surface scattering, and to establish a robust understanding of the magneto-transport and magneto-thermopower response in different magnetic Weyl thin film materials.
