Top-quark observables are a promising place to search for small effects of new physics, thanks to precise predictions and measurements. In this project, we perform a global analysis of new physics in top observables in the framework of an effective field theory. We calculate LHC processes such as top-antitop production or electroweak single-top production to next-to-leading order in QCD and perform a comprehensive fit to LHC data. Flavor observables with a high sensitivity to virtual top-quarks are then combined with high-energy observables, assuming a specific flavor structure of the effective couplings. We also investigate Higgs and electroweak observables that probe top-quark interactions directly or through quantum effects. Our global analysis allows us to identify new search directions and to possibly discover new physics through correlations of several small deviations.
