Term
since 2019
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 394046768
Project C01 is aimed at switching the brain vasculature to support the immune responses to tumors. Based on the findings from the first funding period, the work will be aimed at validating the role of the candidate gene A20/TNFAIP3 for angiocrine neuroinflammation and at exploiting the effect of vascular heterogeneity and senescence on anti-glioma immunity in murine models and human tissues. The project is expected to yield translatable results that will build for the foundation for novel strategies to enhance anti-tumor immunity and improve immunotherapeutic approaches in brain tumor patients.
