Project B3|Riedel studies with Fluorine-Specific interactions between "naked fluoride" and small molecules in cryogenic noble gas matrices. Of particular interest are H···F-interactions with weak bases as well as adducts of F2 with strong Lewis acids. These molecular systems are investigated using spectroscopic and quantum-chemical methods. Furthermore, the effects of host-guest interactions and quantum dynamics on the structure of polyflu-orides are investigated.
