Pentafluorophosphates and Other Hyperfluorinated Fragments as Biomimetics of Phosphopeptides, Phos-phoproteins, and Pyrophosphates (A03)

Subject Area Biological and Biomimetic Chemistry
Term since 2019
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 387284271

Project Description

Project A3|Rademann aims to synthesize and characterize novel biomimetics of organic phosphates, particularly of substituted pentafluorophosphate anions of the type R-PF5−. Novel biomimetics of organic pyrophosphates are developed, which have importance for cell metabolism and signal transduction. Furthermore, a synthesis of pentafluorophosphatodifluorme thylalanine (PFPDFM-Ala) will be developed to access phosphoserine-mimetic amino acids, peptides, and proteins. Finally, trifluoroborates will be prepared and investigated as alternative phosphate mimetics.
