In 2012, the University of Bayreuth set up a publication fund for its members and has provided a reliable structure for financing article processing charges for publications in genuine, high quality Open Access journals ever since. Additional organizational, technical and legal measures ensure a comprehensive service for the university’s scientific staff. In order to support its members in publishing in Open Access journals in 2019 and 2020, the University of Bayreuth continues to provide a publication fund, for which it is requesting a proportionate funding from the DFG.
