Characterizing water transport properties of partially saturated soils by joint inversion of NMR and IP measurements (B08 (ehem. A02))

Subject Area Geophysics
Term from 2007 to 2018
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 15232683

Project Description

In Phase III, we move from the laboratory to the field scale by parameterizing models describing water and gas flow based on the joint inversion of NMR relaxometry and induced polarisation (IP) data measured with a slim-line logging tool. After establishing the joint approach, the slim-line logging tool will be applied in the field to characterize patterns observed in geophysical data in terms of two-phase flow properties and water retention curves.
