Project A8 develops a comprehensive and seamless chemical kinetic model of solid fuel conversion in oxy-fuel conditions. The model is developed and validated using the experimental data produced by the other subprojects of the CRC. Seamless integration of the solid-phase with detailed gasphase chemistry is part of the project. It is then distributed and applied into CFD simulations of other subprojects of the CRC. The project takes a central role in the CRC by consolidating the data produced experimentally and bridging the gap into advanced CFD simulations of large reactors.
