Applicant
Professor Dr. Walter Richtering
Subject Area
Preparatory and Physical Chemistry of Polymers
Term
from 2019 to 2023
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 405810100
The project aims to design and develop biodegradable nanoconjugates consisting of apolysaccharide microgel, bilayer lipid vesicles (liposomes) and a linear polysaccharide.Consecutive electrostatic adsorption of (1) a cationic linear polymer and anionic liposomes, or (2)cationic liposomes and an anionic linear polymer, on the surface of anionic microgel particles will result in formation of multiliposomal carriers (nanoconjugates) with negative surface charge and increased stability against aggregation in biological environment. Both liposomes and microgels will be used to encapsulate biologically active substances that will allow increasing the useful capacity of the nanoconjugates and preparing the nanoconjugates with the controlled content of encapsulated substances.
