Ly-alpha is a prime target in high-z surveys studying cosmology and galaxy formation, but Ly-alpha radiative transfer physics complicate the interpretation of those samples. We already demonstrated that PMAS Halpha kinematic maps in concert with UV imaging-, UV spectroscopy and 21cm HI observations are vital to build a coherent empirical picture of Lyalpha radiative transfer in galaxies. Spectrophotometry of galaxies in Halpha trace directly the intrinsic Lyalpha radiation field and thus constrain the initial conditions of the Lyalpha radiative transfer. The existing PMAS/LARR data are limited in field of view and wavelength coverage and does not capture the full ionised haloes. Here we propose a pilot study to map the ionised gas extent, traced by Halpha and [OIII], of LARS with PMAS/PPAK.
