Project B4 will experimentally track the evolution of immune repertoires and microbes in killifish, a model organism of vertebrate ageing. We will map age-dependent changes in host immune function and use them to predict ecology and evolution of host-associated microbial communities, specifically the emergence of pathogenic strains and their impact on the ageing process.
