Project Details
Mechanism Analysis of Machining-Induced Chemical Material Modifications and their Effect on the Component Functionality ((2) M06)
Subject Area
Coating and Surface Technology
Term
from 2018 to 2022
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 223500200
Describing the chemical load in machining processes dealing with operating fluids is needed to correlate component functionality with Process Signatures. Consequentially, the mechanistic descriptions of the chemical load in fluids as well as the quantification of the chemical load and rim zone modification on a microstructural and polycrystalline level are project goals for one thing. Otherwise, a proving of Process Signatures of machining processes with chemical load to adjust wanted rim zone properties for oxidizing gas phases is an objective within this project.
