Project Description

Project A4 will predict how evolutionary changes in metabolic functions affect bacterial growth. Parallel experiments in collaboration with project Z2 will quantify repeatability and predictability of evolutionary trajectories from a systems perspective, focused on cellular resource allocation and biochemical reaction fluxes. We will calculate the expected distribution of trajectories from models established in our previous work. Comparing predicted and observed evolutionary trajectories, we will quantify the predictability of systems-level metabolic evolution.
