Project Details
Numerically efficient multiscale material models for processes with thermal and chemical impact ((2) M05)
Subject Area
Mechanics
Term
from 2018 to 2022
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 223500200
This new sub-project has been introduced in order to close a gap in the Process Signature methodology. Its scope is the scientifically open question of how the impact of thermally and chemically induced modifications of the material microstructure on the macroscopic boundary layer properties can be characterized. The transition from the micro- to the macroscale will be achieved by analytical and semi-analytical homogenization methods and is of crucial importance for the development of different components of Process Signatures. Thereby, the homogenization approaches become a part of the Process Signature methodology for processes with thermal and chemical impact.
