Project Details
Control and optimal operation of the reductive amination and of the hydroaminomethylation in the demonstration plants (D04*)
Subject Area
Chemical and Thermal Process Engineering
Term
from 2018 to 2021
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 56091768
Subproject D4 N focuses on the development and application of optimizing process control con-cepts for the demonstration plants with special attention to uncertainties. Dynamic models are de-rived for both miniplants (TMS & MLS), the uncertainties are quantified, and the controllability of pro-cess designs (D1 N) is evaluated. As a basis for the optimal operation of the mini-plants, data recon-ciliation and state estimation techniques are designed and tested, taking into account the largely dif-ferent sampling rates of different measurements. The control concepts are based on a combination of iterative steady-state optimization and model predictive control, and on chance-constrained dy-namic real-time optimization.
