Project Details
Demonstration of the fast track process development and of the optimal operation of the reductive amination of long-chained aldehydes in emulsion systems (D02*)
Subject Area
Chemical and Thermal Process Engineering
Term
from 2018 to 2021
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 56091768
Subproject D2 N comprises a proof of concept and validation of the reductive amination of Undeca-nal in microemulsions in a continuously operated miniplant. The operability of the reaction, the phase separation, and the implementation of a membrane process for water separation are key aspects. Additionally, the plant set-up and relevant analytics will be updated accordingly. To support the fast process development, adaptive optimal experimental design is developed and applied on individual unit operations within the miniplant. Finally, an optimal process design (D1 N) is implemented and optimally operated (D4 N).
