Project Description

This project will develop intuitive analytical models for ultrafast spin transport through interfaces and time-dependent spin-caloric effects in magnetic insulators. Such simple analytical models are key to a semi-phenomenological description of ultrafast spintronics phenomena. By employing a mostly analytical approach, this theory project complements the other theory projects, which have a strong numerical component, and allows for a close connection to experimental projects.
