Morphogenetic mechanisms during lymphatic vessel formation (B07+)

Subject Area Cell Biology
Term from 2018 to 2022
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 386797833

Project Description

This proposal wants to understand the molecular mechanisms acting at the membrane / extracellular matrix interface of migrating lymphatic endothelial cells, directing their morphogenetic behaviour. For this, we will visualize migrating lymphatic endothelial progenitor cells (LEPCs) in the mouse fetus and determine the expression patterns of CCBE1, VEGF-C and uPAR in relation to LEPC migration. The generation of in vitro models for the migration of LEPCs will allow further analysis of various aspects of this process.
