Localized FGF-receptor signaling controls differentiation of wrapping glial cells (B05)

This proposal will determine how the FGF-receptor Heartless regulates glial wrapping together with Notch, Uninflatable and Axotactin. Here we want to decipher how glial differentiation is orchestrated at the axon-glial interface and want to elucidate how polarity of the wrapping glial cells is orchestrated. Moreover, we will address how mutual neuron-glial interaction affects differentiation of the two different cell types.
