During development, neuronal circuit maturation often involves sequential phases of neurite pruning and regrowth. We have identified cell surface receptors and exocytic membrane trafficking regulators required for dendrite regrowth, linking regrowth to the extracellular environment and membrane traffic. Here, we propose to characterize the mechanisms by which these factors contribute to dendrite regrowth. In particular, we aim to identify the involved membrane interfaces and how they are linked to the internal TOR-based regrowth program.
