Project Details
Nanoscale monitoring of surface effects, structural changes, and encapsulation in block copolymer nanostructures using tip-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (B04)
Subject Area
Polymer Materials
Term
since 2017
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 316213987
The goal is to gain a fundamental understanding of drug encapsulation and release of polymer-based nanoparticles. Accordingly, nanoscale mechanical (e.g., AFM) and optical (TERS) techniques are adapted to study the associated structure-property relationships with nanometer resolution. For studies related to localisation and release of drugs, model block copolymer micelles will be prepared to study the respective processes at the molecular level.
