Our goal is to study, both theoretically and experimentally, how spin-orbit coupling affects the supercurrent and the superconducting topological phase in hybrid 1D-2D van der Waals heterostructures based on carbon nanotubes proximitized by NbSe2. We shall also study the interplay of the mutually perpendicular spin orbit fields in the 1D and 2D components of our hybrids, i.e. carbon nanotubes and NbSe2 and other few-layer transition metal dichalcogenides.
