This research work combines two relevant technological tasks:- the use of an ionogel as novel battery electrolyte and- the formation of a printed electrochemical cell with the ionogelOver the course of this project, we expect to develop an integrated electrochemical cell based on an ionogel as electrolyte in an in situ formed matrix via three-dimensional photolithography. This electrochemical cell will be analyzed by different analytical means and tested for its electrical conductivity, thermal stability and efficacy as battery.Initially, the research will focus on lithium-ion chemistry with a conventional lithium-ion battery as reference and impedance spectroscopy as scientific method to investigate the electrical conductivity. Finally, the aim of this project is to translate this research achieving a novel battery, which overcomes current technological problems like unwanted chemical side reactions or thermal decomposition.
