The objectives of C03 are highly integrated, mobile, and energy-efficient radar systems at 300 GHz. These are designed to locate targets with sub-millimeter and sub-degree accuracy, to contribute to the MARIE vision. Based on precise system modeling, silicon-germanium based MMICs will be designed. Here the focus is on a scalable approach, where several identical TX and RX chips are connected to a large antenna array. The signal generation shall be done either with a VCO or a YIG oscillator. In addition, digitally controlled modulators shall enable different MIMO modes.
