In the second funding period the results achieved in the first stage will be further developed and deepened. This initially includes the further development of the SRVE generator by implementing realistic band structures. On the basis of these SRVE, the damage development in the material during the component manufacturing and the component service is to be investigated in order to ultimately gain knowledge that is of decisive importance for the design of damage-tolerant materials.
