This project aims to investigate the effect of axion and axion-like fields in dense astrophysical objects, such as neutron stars, supernovae, or white dwarfs. This will be achieved by considering at finite density the relation, occurring at the level of low-energy Quantum Chromo dynamics (QCD) lagrangians, between the axion-nucleon couplings and the pion-multinucleon dynamics.
